NBA, News: Carmelo Anthony and Malik Monk Switch to the Los Angeles Lakers - Dennis Schröder has to wait

The Los Angeles Lakers have contracted two more players with Carmelo Anthony and Malik Monk. In Dennis Schröder, however, there is no new state.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski (espn), Anthony signs for a year with the Lakers, the same applies to Monk, who did not even receive the qualifying offers offered in Charlotte and was immediately unrestricted free agent.

Anthony has currently recorded the tenths of points of all time in NBA and was like Lebron James in the already legendary draft 2003, when Melo went to the Denver Nuggets at position three behind LeBron and Darko Milicic. James and Anthony has been a friendship since then, but they both played for high school times against each other.

In the past season, Anthony came from the Bank most of the time from the Portland Trail Blazers, this will also be his role in the Lakers. The 37-year-old put on average 13.4 points in just 24.5 minutes and hit the threesome with 40.9 percent as good as never before in his career.

Lakers: Dennis Schröder continue in the queue

In addition to Anthony, Monk came, which is now the most recent player in the squad at 22 years now. The Shooting Guard had fallen after some escapadas in the years before the hornets in disgrace and therefore received no new offer, although he played the best season of his career 2020/21. Monk put on average in 42 playing 11.7 points and met strongly 40.1 percent from the triple line.

An agreement could also meet Lakers with Talen Horton Tucker. The 20-year-old, the Restricted Free Agent, remains for 3 years and $ 32 million in Tinseltown and should make a big step in his development in the coming season and see more minutes. The competition will get THT but from Kendrick Nunn, who also connects the Lakers.

Lakers: Nunn-Coup makes Schröder extension unlikely

The Guard comes from the Miami Heat for two years and will cash in 10 million dollars during this period. For the second year, however, now has a player option. Nunn went as a restricted free agent in the summer, but the Heat moved back the qualifying offers and made the 26-year-olds to the unstipped Free Agent. In his second NBA season, the guard had a section 14.6 points and 2.6 assists at throwing quies of 48.5 percent from the field and 38.1 percent from the distance.

However, there is no new stand in Dennis Schröder. The German is still in the waiting loop and has so far one of the big losers of this Free Agency. The Lakers could continue to pay for Schröder, they keep the Bird Rights at the Point Guard and could therefore go over the cap. For the moment, the Californians look at Bobby Marks (espn) but on a luxury tax bill over $ 42 million, so much have never paid the Lakers. It is therefore to be assumed that Schröder has no future in Los Angeles.
