Square Enix hopes to bring Final Fantasy XIV online for PS5
Updating: Square Enix has turned to us to clarify the comments by director Naoki Yoshida: "Although this is not a confirmation, Mr. Yoshida expressed the hope that Final Fantasy XIV online one day on the next generation The Sony console will appear. "
Original article: Final Fantasy XIV Online should always be playable on PlayStation 5 thanks to the backward compatibility, but the Square Enix team has apparently even larger plans for the most popular MMO on the market. A fan meeting for the game took place last night in London, where director Naoki Yoshida allegedly came to the stage, to officially know that Final Fantasy XIV is developed online for Sony's Next Gene Console.
The only proof that this is actually the case is at the time of writing Twitter Account for Final Fantasy UK fans. A profile that is not led by the company in question, but it is difficult for us to believe that a group of dedicated followers would just think such a thing. This remains a rumor until we receive the official confirmation of Square Enix. However, it looks like MMO players are looking forward to playing at the end of next year on their new hardware.

However, in the near future, you probably do not expect portanouncement. We assume that Sony wants to vacate its own console release from the beginning of 2020 before Publisher can publish new titles, Remasters and Ports for the PS5.
