Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Rickrolls Players
Never Gonna Give You Up is a pop song of Rick Astley from 1987, written and produced by Stock AItken Waterman. On the music video of the song, the Internet phenomenon is based Rickrolling.
The newly released video game Guardia from the Marvel Galaxy of Square Enix and Eidos-Montreal is, of course, absolutely impregnated with music. Specifically, the music of the 80s. While Star-Lord s taste in music typically leans more towards metal and rock, the game actually includes «Never Gonna Give You Up» by Rick Astley as a particularly effective troll : Rickrolling players for choosing a bad choice.
A promotional video published by the developer shows popular transmitters such as Drloup, Paladinamber and Dantdm playing through the video game only to start a Huddle, a special moment in combat where Star-Lord calls the guardians for a taller. Huddles presents two options, one of which is good and improves morality and gives increases in combat, while the other is... not excellent. The promotional video includes the youngest of the two options, and although when choosing a good option, some rocker melodies are started, it seems that the option not so good can sometimes make it reproduce Never Gonna Give You Up of Astley, effectively Rickrolling players..

Rickrolling, if somehow is not familiar, essentially being deceived people to see Rick Astley s music video for the song «Never Gonna Give You Up». It is an ancient meme of the Internet and, often, it is presented as people who share something like a link that they say or infire that it is another thing, but in reality it is the music video. The promotional video includes a little more Astley dance of the music video, but the real version of the game is just the song. In general, Astley seems quite supportive of all this.
It s a bit strange to have thrown a song in 1987, and then, all those years later, it is given a new life that... I do not think any producer of discs, writer, artist, no one could even imagine that. Because when we did, there was no internet, says Astley in a video behind the scene on the promotional video.
Guardia of the Marvel Galaxy of Square Enix and Eidos-Montreal is now available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One Xbox, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch through the cloud and PC. It is not clear when the solution to Star-Lord s disguise will come, but it is about to come. You can check all our previous coverage of the Marvel brand video game right here.
